We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it, rooms were spacious and clean bed was very comfy and the staff were very friendly, everyone from Alex and Carol at the carvery to the bar staff and lodge staff were happy to help with anything we needed. The food at the carvery which is accessible through the lobby is fresh and tasty, will definitely stay here again and would heartily recommend it to anyone who wants a place to stay when in this part of Scotland.
Canceled my reservation. I was planning to stay two nights (Christmas Eve and the night of Christmas Day) and have Christmas dinner here. I was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and wanted to come from the United States to spend what might be my last fully mobile Christmas in my favorite place, even though I'd be spending it on my own. I received a cold email from Innkeeper's Lodge shaming me for making a reservation for one, implying that I must have made a mistake. Well, I will be spending Christmas in Scotland, but NOT here.
Staff are always friendly, and room was very comfortable. Carvery is always excellent
Toby Carvery. Went here for breakfast. Free easy to access parking, close to a main route. Value for money food, the breakfast is all you can eat and can set you up well for the day. Lunch menu includes the famous carvery but you don't have to have that, lots of other options are available. Fair selection of starters and deserts. And a large selection of drinks. The toilets here were clean and not smelly on our visit here. If we are in the area again we would be happy to visit here again, either for breakfast or for lunch.
Stayed two nights. Room was quite big, bed was comfy. There was a couch, but it smelled(i am sorry! But it did!) Room was very warm, and window couldn't be opened more than 10cm (we asked). No airco. I know it is a luxury complaint in Scotland. Even though we were kindly offered a free breakfast, we still went out and bought a ventilator :)
